The wooden fish sound
What you hear
There is one strike: short and clear, in the cadence of a temple wooden fish. It is not a long piece of music, and you cannot switch tones yet. Volume follows your phone or computer.
How to play it
- Tap the fish, or press the space bar. Each hit makes a sound.
- Auto-strike keeps a steady gap, which is useful if you want your breath to follow it.
- Speakers or headphones both work. In public, turn the volume down first.
- If it stays silent, the device may be muted, or the browser blocked autoplay. Tap the fish once.
When it helps
Use it as a rhythm cue before studying, between errands, or when you want the room a little quieter. It is not a treatment, and it does not replace a wooden fish in a temple.
Hear it
Go back to the fish and strike once. You will know if this is the sound you wanted.
